I know it’s a bit soon, but it’s best to get this out early.
Manchester MCM expo is fast approaching and so I think its right to arrange a Hetalia meet up run by hetalia_nw // HetaliaNWUK @ devaintart ( HetaliaNWUK is an open meet group for Hetalia fans and cosplayers in the North West UK, although anyone from anywhere in the UK can attend. )

What: Hetalia North-West April Meet
Where: Liverpool, England
When: 16th April 2011 at 11am

Details:

This month's meet is going to be in Liverpool! We'll meet at LIVERPOOL LIME STREET train station at around 11... we'll leave in between 11.15 and 11.30 for latecomers. Please let us know if you're going to be late!

After that, we'll decide what to do on the day. I'm not familiar with Liverpool but some of our other members are, so no worries there. Feel free to bring your own lunch, or you can buy on the day.

Cosplay is encouraged but not required! Flags, plushies and props are welcome provided it is kept sensible. Remember this is a public meet and not a con~ Also please remember that putting flags on the floor is generally insulting to the country represented, so please bare that in mind too.

I was thinking would people be interested arranging a cosplaygroup for  upcoming London MCM Expo (http://www.londonexpo.com/)? I have been planning cosplay halloween costume for England for ages, and I finally decided do that.  So, if there's someone who would like to join with me in this "halloween group", please let me know! It would be awesome to get all 11 characters!

First of all, I'm terribly sorry if this following text contains few spelling mistakes (English is not my native language and I'm still learning,so don't be too harsh on me, ok? , _ , )
 

I'm a newbie along NWUK, and haven't been taking part of the meetings, but I will be in Chester meet if I have courage to come. *shy* ANYWAY, I'm passionate photographer from Finland and I've been doing cosplay photography for fun around.. two years I think. I also have ”worked” as a convention photographer for few times. (If you can say that walking around and taking pictures is working, hah XD )
 

Since I'll be staying in the UK for some time, I would like to make friends with British cosplayers and continue my hobby here. Which all lead to the questions; would you guys be interested of having "serious” photoshoots during the meetings/off-meeting as well?

I assure you, this all would be just for fun, totally free and probably everyone could get 1-3 decent pictures of themselves in the end. Participants could decide would they want to be the cosplayers or photographer, so those who don't want to be in front of the camera could participate as well:3 (I'm not self-promoting myself here, the idea would be that everyone who would be interested could take part of these photoshoots) And of course, a nice cup of coffee/tea afterwards the photoshoots is must thing to do. U _ U

I got a large Pirate England doll finished just in time for Hetalia Day yesterday! Brought this guy along to the meet-up in Manchester yesterday, and the photos I took at the event are also in this entry!

Plan: I will arrive at around 10am in case anyone is early, and we will leave around 11.30 for the city centre area. If you know you are going to be late, please text me and let you know (along with your online alias so I know who to expect late). I should be in outsourced!Lithuania cosplay aka yellow apron, otherwise I'll be wearing a shirt with the flag on, as well as having the flag itself. And I'll probably be drowning myself in coffee. I'll be around the info desk area! Look for the caffiene-high Lithuanian!

After we arrive there we will likely get lunch, and then we'll probably decide on the day what else we'll do. Last year we went around the city, to Affleck's, some malls, had pasta for lunch. I myself am not entirely familiar with the city, but we have a lot of people who are. Don't worry, you're in good hands C:

Cosplay? Yes please! It's not essential though. Partial cosplays are of course, also welcome. One thing though: Please respect a countries morals etc. Aka try not to drag that flag in the dirt, or anything inappropriate to the nation you are cosplaying. Hopefully everything will go smoothly though!

Now that I'm back in the UK, is there any plans for any meets sometime soon? Chester is preferred for me (as it's closer and a LOT less expensive for me), but Manchester is okay too :3 I really miss you guys so bad, so I hope I can meet with you soon!
